The report stated that in accordance with the “Cyber Security Law”, “Telecommunication Regulations”, “Provisions on the Protection of Personal Information of Telecommunications and Internet Users” and other laws and regulations, in accordance with the “Notice on Carrying out Special Rectification Actions for Promoting App Infringement of Users’ Rights and Interests” (Xin Guan Han  No. 164 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently organized a third-party testing agency to inspect mobile phone applications and urged companies with problems to make rectifications. Up to now, there are still 157 APPs that have not been rectified (see the attachment for details). The above-mentioned APPs should complete the rectification and implementation work before January 29.
In the follow-up, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will deal with relevant enterprises that have prominent problems, improper orders, and incomplete rectification according to law.
